Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Manuel Mutu made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bogdan Miheș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilie CSu's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogdan Miheș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iulian Codru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marius Agrigoroaiei took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Codru. Iulian Codru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Cojani CS booed when Ilie CSu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Negrescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Mihai Banu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ilie CSu's Pavel Enache. Pavel Enache was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mihai Banu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Enache having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Manuel Mutu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cojani CS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Manuel Mutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ilie CSu getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Marius Dănănae hit a great ball. Cojani CS's Iulian Codru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Miheș in the 38th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Agrigoroaiei got free with Iulian Codru in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Manuel Mutu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marius Agrigoroaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Bogdan Miheș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Codru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marius Agrigoroaiei might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iulian Codru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marius Agrigoroaiei ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Miheș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Bogdan Miheș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilie CSu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogdan Miheș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Marius Dănănae sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cojani CS's Iulian Codru didn't even have to move. Marius Agrigoroaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Iulian Codru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Ilie CSu's goalkeeper Pavel Enache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihai Banu. After 71 played minutes Ilie CSu got a freekick which was hit by Marius Dănănae. 79 minutes into the match, Ilie CSu's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Mutu came free, but Pavel Enache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marius Agrigoroaiei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iulian Codru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Iulian Codru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornel Zglimbea went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Cojani CS's Augustin Mitu suffered a sore thigh after 91 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 92nd minute, Răzvan Negrescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pavel Enache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihai Banu in the 95th minute. Cojani CS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
