When Bogdan Vărzaru fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bucova's protests and gave Bogdan Vărzaru a yellow card for diving instead. Bogdan Vărzaru kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurel Petrică in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Condeescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Buduleasa's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bogdan Vărzaru 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Ion Zgârcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Vărzaru in the 19th minute of play forced Buduleasa's goalkeeper Cazimir Panin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gigel Pelin fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bucova's protests and gave Gigel Pelin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Bucova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Pelin to maneuver through the defense. Aurel Petrică might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Condeescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurel Petrică ran back to his position shaking his head. Emil Condeescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Petrică in the 28th minute of the match. Buduleasa's Cazimir Panin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Buduleasa from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute of the match Horia Șofran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Condeescu skillfully saved the ball. If Codrin Cozaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Vărzaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Aurel Petrică who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bucova's Emil Condeescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emil Condeescu made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Aurel Petrică sent off a good shot on target. Aurel Petrică's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Emil Condeescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Codrin Cozaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Condeescu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Cozaru during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Buduleasa got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Cozaru. In the 63rd minute Bogdan Vărzaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Panin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Petrică had several of the Bucova's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Emil Condeescu as he didn't even see the shot coming. 69 minutes into the match, Bucova's goalkeeper Emil Condeescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Benga. Răzvan Vorniceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Răzvan Vorniceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bucova's Răzvan Vorniceanu got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Codrin Cozaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurel Petrică kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emil Condeescu. That made the score 1-2 in the 73 minute of play. Codrin Cozaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurel Petrică's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Emil Condeescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Benga in the 80th minute of play forced Bucova's goalkeeper Emil Condeescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 played minutes Bucova got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Ghișerel. The corner ended in Iulian Burtea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bucova's Emil Condeescu did a great save. After 93 minutes of play Bucova's Bogdan Vărzaru was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Bucova getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Bogdan Vărzaru hit a great ball. The Bucova fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Buduleasa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
