Cristi Bourceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Enache having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Răzvan Negrescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilie CSu and the Zlasti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Răzvan Negrescu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Doru Melentie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pavel Enache skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Gigi Corbu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bogdan Miheș struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Octav Mircescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilie CSu. 16 minutes into the match, Ilie CSu's Marius Agrigoroaiei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octav Mircescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Agrigoroaiei in the 18th minute of play forced Zlasti's goalkeeper Octav Mircescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gigi Corbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcu Tărbac fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zlasti's protests and gave Marcu Tărbac a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zlasti getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Marcu Tărbac hit a great ball. If Marius Agrigoroaiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavel Enache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Corbu in the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristi Bourceanu got free with Pavel Enache in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pavel Enache was a little too slow when Gigi Corbu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-0. Pavel Enache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristi Bourceanu in the 40th minute. Pavel Enache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Corbu in the 41st minute of play. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gigi Corbu sped through Ilie CSu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pavel Enache. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gigi Corbu to make the kick off. If Marius Agrigoroaiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cristi Bourceanu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Zlasti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristi Bourceanu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Bourceanu in the 66th minute of play forced Ilie CSu's goalkeeper Pavel Enache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigi Corbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pavel Enache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Cornel Zglimbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zlasti's Doru Melentie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ilie CSu. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Marius Agrigoroaiei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilie CSu's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Agrigoroaiei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octav Mircescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Ilie CSu's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Bourceanu came free, but Pavel Enache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes, Calistrat Coroian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zlasti and the Ilie CSu players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Cristi Bourceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
