In the 5th minute, Petruț Miniș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cătălin Hobjilă got free with Avram Ghișe in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, AC Sebes Eagles's Flavius Halipa got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Petruț Miniș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octav Tarcu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Bârlea saved AC Sebes Eagles from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Liviu Cristoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plesa's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Cristoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Bârlea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the game, Petruț Miniș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Martin Bârlea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stelian Jienescu during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stelian Jienescu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Petruț Miniș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Panait Gavruță might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Bârlea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panait Gavruță ran back to his position shaking his head. Petruț Miniș took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Bârlea. Martin Bârlea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Sebes Eagles's goalkeeper Martin Bârlea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Petruț Miniș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mugur Bădulescu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Plesa getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Panait Gavruță hit a great ball. Avram Ghișe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugur Bădulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in AC Sebes Eagles's zone, Petruț Miniș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Bârlea came out of the goal and Petruț Miniș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Cristoiu in the 62nd minute of play forced AC Sebes Eagles's goalkeeper Martin Bârlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC Sebes Eagles's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Octav Tarcu 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 71st minute, Liviu Cristoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liviu Cristoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Bârlea having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Plesa's Liviu Cristoiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Martin Bârlea made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Panait Gavruță sent off a good shot on target. When Liviu Cristoiu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Plesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liviu Cristoiu couldn't finish the play. Liviu Cristoiu struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Martin Bârlea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plesa. Petruț Miniș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Bârlea having to make a save. Liviu Cristoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AC Sebes Eagles's zone, Petruț Miniș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Bârlea came out of the goal and Petruț Miniș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petruț Miniș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Plesa's Martin Bârlea threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Liviu Cristoiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Francisc Istrate fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Sebes Eagles's protests and gave Francisc Istrate a yellow card for diving instead. Francisc Istrate kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
