FC Banatim's Eduard Moldovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Berceanu in the 6th minute of play. Marcu Cucerzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcu Cucerzan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Bălțăteanu having to interfere. Ionel Bălțăteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Cucerzan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, CatusBelicus's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Cucerzan came free, but Ionel Bălțăteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olimpiu Miclauș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ionel Bălțăteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, FC Banatim's Olimpiu Miclauș nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionel Bălțăteanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When CatusBelicus's Calistrat Berceanu in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Calistrat Berceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olimpiu Miclauș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ionel Bălțăteanu was a little too slow when Marcu Cucerzan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calistrat Berceanu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to CatusBelicus getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Calistrat Berceanu hit a great ball. Doru Turcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Moldovan having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Calistrat Berceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ionel Bălțăteanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olimpiu Miclauș's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Gică Chițac charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gică Chițac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, CatusBelicus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gică Chițac to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Banatim's zone, Calistrat Berceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduard Moldovan came out of the goal and Calistrat Berceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcu Cucerzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olimpiu Miclauș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Moldovan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Calistrat Berceanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 90 minute of play. In the 95th minute Calistrat Berceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Moldovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
