Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marcu Cucerzan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marcu Cucerzan scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Aanuţei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Aanuţei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Cucerzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sorin Câmpeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gageni AC's zone, Olimpiu Miclauș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Aanuţei came out of the goal and Olimpiu Miclauș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasile Pistol during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vasile Pistol kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Olimpiu Miclauș might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Aanuţei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olimpiu Miclauș ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the game, Marcu Cucerzan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Banatim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gageni AC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Banatim's Marcu Cucerzan got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute Sorin Câmpeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Moldovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valeriu Trăiloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionică Uzuneanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Eduard Moldovan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 28th minute, Denis Minteuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gageni AC's Daniel Aanuţei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Cucerzan in the 34th minute of play. When Corneliu Târban fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Banatim's protests and gave Corneliu Târban a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the game, one of FC Banatim:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Banatim:s Eduard Moldovan showed great skill when he stopped Tiberiu Mercea:s penalty. In the 38th minute, Gageni AC's Tiberiu Mercea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ionică Uzuneanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Moldovan having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sorin Câmpeanu was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Olimpiu Miclauș managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Banatim's supporters rose to their feet, but Olimpiu Miclauș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Aanuţei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Miclauș who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Daniel Aanuţei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. FC Banatim's Marcu Cucerzan got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, FC Banatim's Marcu Cucerzan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 61st minute, Vasile Pistol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sorin Câmpeanu in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduard Moldovan saved FC Banatim from getting behind. In the 77th minute Ionică Uzuneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Moldovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sorin Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Eduard Moldovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olimpiu Miclauș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Aanuţei having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Marcu Cucerzan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Marcu Cucerzan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Banatim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Cucerzan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Olimpiu Miclauș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gageni AC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Banatim's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Banatim.
