Daniel Aanuţei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Malcoci in the 8th minute of the match. FC Red Wolf's Virgil Iosifian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Câmpeanu in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Red Wolf's zone, Ionică Uzuneanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgil Iosifian came out of the goal and Ionică Uzuneanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dumitru Bernea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgil Iosifian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Câmpeanu in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Gageni AC's goalkeeper Daniel Aanuţei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Bernea. Dumitru Bernea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Aanuţei having to interfere. Dumitru Bernea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Aanuţei having to make a save. With an all-out effort, FC Red Wolf's Daniel Aanuţei threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bogdan Malcoci, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 47 minutes, Gică Burdulea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Red Wolf and the Gageni AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ionică Uzuneanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgil Iosifian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionică Uzuneanu ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 54 minutes, Sorin Câmpeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gageni AC and the FC Red Wolf players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Sorin Câmpeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gageni AC's Daniel Aanuţei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Bernea in the 59th minute of play. Daniel Aanuţei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Uzuneanu in the 74th minute of play forced FC Red Wolf's goalkeeper Virgil Iosifian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Balc charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matei Balc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matei Balc kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Gageni AC booed when FC Red Wolf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Ticulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Red Wolf's Virgil Iosifian got control of the ball when Ionică Uzuneanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gageni AC's Sorin Câmpeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Câmpeanu in the 90th minute of play forced FC Red Wolf's goalkeeper Virgil Iosifian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dumitru Bernea struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Daniel Aanuţei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Red Wolf. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
