Ionică Honciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Zamfira might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Pavelescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nistor Zamfira ran back to his position shaking his head. If Iosif Costandache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iosif Costandache struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Niculae Roşca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vajla CSM. Ionică Honciu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niculae Roşca having to make a save. Daniel Pavelescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Zamfira in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Francisc Turbatu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 30 minutes, Ionică Honciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vajla CSM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionică Honciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 minutes, Valentin Acalinei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zumbistii CSM and the Vajla CSM players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the match, Zumbistii CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Honciu came free, but Niculae Roşca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionică Honciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Niculae Roşca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Nistor Zamfira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costin Apetroaiei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Pavelescu having to interfere. Nistor Zamfira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 77 minutes into the match, Iosif Costandache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niculae Roşca. Zumbistii CSM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iosif Costandache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ionică Honciu came free in the 90th minute and tried to tip the ball over Niculae Roşca, but to the joy of Zumbistii CSM's supporters the ball went over. Remus Bitanu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Vajla CSM were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zumbistii CSM for a fine match.
