Cătălin Țepelea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, ForceIndia's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Țepelea came free, but Viorel Şimoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Țepelea in the 14th minute of play forced ForceIndia's goalkeeper Viorel Şimoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niculae Albulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gică Bornescu. Fc Poli Unirea Iasi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihail Gorunescu in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gică Bornescu saved Fc Poli Unirea Iasi from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Mihail Gorunescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rareș Ganea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Bornescu having to interfere. Fc Poli Unirea Iasi's Gică Bornescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Ganea in the 28th minute of play. Viorel Şimoc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Țepelea in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rareș Ganea in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gică Bornescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavius Floreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Viorel Şimoc made a huge save. If Flavius Floreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Bornescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Murgan in the 37th minute of play. Panait Angheluță charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panait Angheluță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Panait Angheluță kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Mihail Gorunescu succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Rareș Ganea managed to get in a good position for a shot. ForceIndia's supporters rose to their feet, but Rareș Ganea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Bornescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th match minute, Fc Poli Unirea Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Mitrea to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the match, ForceIndia's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Țepelea came free, but Viorel Şimoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cătălin Țepelea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Viorel Şimoc was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Vlad Sichitiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viorel Şimoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cătălin Țepelea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gică Bornescu was a little too slow when Mihail Gorunescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. If Rareș Ganea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Fc Poli Unirea Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Floreanu. After a rather tough play, ForceIndia's Emilian Brumaru got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Sever Lung sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ForceIndia's Viorel Şimoc didn't even have to move. Cătălin Țepelea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Viorel Şimoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, ForceIndia's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Țepelea came free, but Viorel Şimoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Flavius Floreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Poli Unirea Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavius Floreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, ForceIndia's Mihail Gorunescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gică Bornescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Viorel Şimoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavius Floreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Fc Poli Unirea Iasi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sever Lung in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ForceIndia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
