An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Silişteanu in the 16th minute of play forced FK Partizan's goalkeeper Emanuel Georgescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Emilian Cimpoieru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Georgescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Silişteanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Georgescu having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Mândrilă during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Laurențiu Alexandroae, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The supporters of Surdesti booed when FK Partizan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Ciorobîtcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Surdesti's Emilian Cimpoieru got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laurențiu Alexandroae was slow to take the kick. During this time Surdesti's players had a chance to rest. Gabriel Silişteanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Emanuel Georgescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Surdesti's Emilian Cimpoieru got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Georgescu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gabriel Silişteanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Gabriel Silişteanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emilian Cimpoieru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 played minutes FK Partizan got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Hizo. Surdesti were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
