Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) FK Partizan's Ferdinand Brumă started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Brumă in the 3rd minute of play forced Olteanu's goalkeeper Iulian Ionășescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 minutes, Aristide Olteanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olteanu and the FK Partizan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 5 minutes, Stelian Hizo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Partizan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stelian Hizo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Ferdinand Brumă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Ionășescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FK Partizan's Stelian Hizo in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olteanu's goalie prevented a goal. Stelian Hizo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Olteanu getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Filip Şantău hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Hizo in the 17th minute of play forced Olteanu's goalkeeper Iulian Ionășescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Georgescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Cara in the 19th minute of play. Iustinian Colceriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costin Cara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Malcocea hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Iulian Ionășescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Brumă in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Olteanu booed when FK Partizan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Trandafir didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FK Partizan's zone, Costin Cara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Georgescu came out of the goal and Costin Cara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinand Brumă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Ionășescu having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costin Cara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Stelian Hizo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Partizan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stelian Hizo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iulian Ionășescu made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Stelian Hizo sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute, Edgar Mândrilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Cosmin Cârnu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FK Partizan's Emanuel Georgescu didn't even have to move. After 61 played minutes Olteanu got a freekick which was hit by Costin Cara. Cosmin Cârnu's late challenge caught a FK Partizan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosmin Cârnu helped the player get up and apologised. Cosmin Cârnu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Iulian Ionășescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Colceriu in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Filip Şantău hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Mândrilă struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Iulian Ionășescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Partizan. 84 minutes into the match, FK Partizan's Stelian Hizo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iulian Ionășescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Mititelu in the 89th minute of play forced FK Partizan's goalkeeper Emanuel Georgescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, FK Partizan's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Mititelu came free, but Emanuel Georgescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Călin Mititelu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ferdinand Brumă managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Partizan's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Brumă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iulian Ionășescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
