Zapodeni AS's Olimpiu Birișu got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurel Mihălțan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Arsene having to interfere. Teodor Arsene didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Zapodeni AS's Olimpiu Birișu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Narcis Vornicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Zapodeni AS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Birișu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zapodeni AS's Tiberiu Moiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Spirea in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Bogătan in the 56th minute of play forced Zapodeni AS's goalkeeper Tiberiu Moiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiberiu Moiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Spirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes of play Zapodeni AS's Aurelian Dumitrana was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 61st match minute, Zapodeni AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelian Dumitrana to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Zapodeni AS getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Olimpiu Birișu hit a great ball. With a little luck, manager team's Teodor Arsene got control of the ball when Narcis Vornicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Narcis Vornicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zapodeni AS's zone, David Spirea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Moiș came out of the goal and David Spirea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind manager team's goalkeeper Teodor Arsene, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 minutes of play, Zapodeni AS's Narcis Vornicu made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodor Arsene was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zapodeni AS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
