With a little luck, FC Chimindia's Niculae Ciocârlan got control of the ball when Corneliu Comănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to FC Chimindia getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tudor Encuțu hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, FC Nicseni - BTF's Corneliu Comănescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niculae Ciocârlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Tudor Casian kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Toader Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Poplăcean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Chimindia booed when FC Nicseni - BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Acatincăi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Petre in the 17th minute of play forced FC Nicseni - BTF's goalkeeper Toader Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Iosif Poplăcean in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Cosmin Itu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Ciocârlan having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Sorin Contra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nicseni - BTF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sorin Contra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sorin Contra charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sorin Contra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Nicseni - BTF getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sorin Contra hit a great ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Chimindia's goalkeeper Niculae Ciocârlan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute Cosmin Itu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ciocârlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandu Petre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Caranfil having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cosmin Itu made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sorin Contra managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nicseni - BTF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Contra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niculae Ciocârlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radu Trifănucă charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radu Trifănucă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes FC Chimindia got a freekick which was hit by Radu Trifănucă. In the 55th minute of the match Valeriu Amărculesei sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niculae Ciocârlan skillfully saved the ball. 65 minutes into the game, one of FC Chimindia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Niculae Ciocârlan had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Valeriu Amărculesei's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 68th minute FC Nicseni - BTF were awarded a corner. Valeriu Amărculesei went to the cornerflag to take it. Toader Caranfil was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Petre Fința. After a rather tough play, FC Chimindia's Gică Neculuță got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 80 minutes, Cosmin Itu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Nicseni - BTF and the FC Chimindia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Cosmin Itu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Encuțu's late challenge caught a FC Nicseni - BTF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tudor Encuțu helped the player get up and apologised. Tudor Encuțu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Niculae Ciocârlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Itu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toader Caranfil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Petre in the 84th minute. Corneliu Comănescu struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Niculae Ciocârlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Nicseni - BTF. Corneliu Comănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Ciocârlan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Itu in the 89th minute of play forced FC Chimindia's goalkeeper Niculae Ciocârlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Cosmin Itu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ciocârlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Nicseni - BTF's Toader Caranfil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nicseni - BTF from getting a goal against them. Toader Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Poplăcean in the 97th minute of play. Tudor Casian kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. When Sandu Petre came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the FC Chimindia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Petre couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that FC Nicseni - BTF were the better team. FC Nicseni - BTF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
