Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Plesesti's Laurențiu Donose started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12th minute, Nechifor Șerbulescu made a precise shot to the right of Mircea Donciu. Plesesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Laurențiu Donose left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plesesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Stelian Hârlab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilian Dedu's late challenge caught a AG Udati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilian Dedu helped the player get up and apologised. Emilian Dedu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Laurențiu Donose might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ion Oargă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurențiu Donose ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Emilian Dedu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plesesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilian Dedu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Oargă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Plesesti's Emilian Dedu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nechifor Șerbulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Donciu having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Plesesti's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eusebiu Negrescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Negrescu was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Nechifor Șerbulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. AG Udati's supporters rose to their feet, but Nechifor Șerbulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mircea Donciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in AG Udati's zone, Laurențiu Donose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Oargă came out of the goal and Laurențiu Donose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ion Oargă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Donose, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Laurențiu Donose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Constantin Dicu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AG Udati's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plesesti the free kick. With a little luck, AG Udati's Ion Oargă got control of the ball when Emilian Dedu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stelian Hârlab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Oargă having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Nechifor Șerbulescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mircea Donciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Plesesti's zone, Nechifor Șerbulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Donciu came out of the goal and Nechifor Șerbulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AG Udati's Ion Oargă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Stolojan in the 86th minute of play. Plesesti were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
