Herford FCM were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after FC Red Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eugen Aursulesei took the corner. The corner ended in Eugen Aursulesei almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu did a great save. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Iosif Enache took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Anıl Ozan Dahi to make any attempt to save it. Dorel Dichiseanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Chițes in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Florin Smarandache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Red Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Smarandache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Herford FCM's Ionel Bulă got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Valeriu Chițes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dorel Dichiseanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iosif Enache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Ozan Dahi having to interfere. FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Chițes in the 37th minute of play. Dorel Dichiseanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Chițes in the 41st minute of the match. Valeriu Chițes struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Dorel Dichiseanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herford FCM. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herford FCM's goalkeeper Anıl Ozan Dahi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Valeriu Chițes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Dichiseanu having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Herford FCM's Ionel Bulă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Florin Smarandache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Herford FCM defense, Iosif Enache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anıl Ozan Dahi. The Herford FCM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anıl Ozan Dahi should have stopped the shot. Iosif Enache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute, Valeriu Chițes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 87th minute, Iosif Enache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viorel Ghionescu's late challenge caught a FC Red Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viorel Ghionescu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Herford FCM getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Viorel Ghionescu hit a great ball. Anıl Ozan Dahi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Enache in the 94th minute of the match. Iosif Enache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Ozan Dahi having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Red Team had won after a very even match.
