In the 8th match minute, Motaenii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Levința to maneuver through the defense. Dorel Dichiseanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonard Petrean showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Motaenii's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Enache came free, but Rafael Márquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Dorel Dichiseanu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, FC Red Team's goalkeeper Dorel Dichiseanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinand Barbosu. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Dorel Dichiseanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Iosif Enache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Barbosu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iosif Enache was the one to do the kick off. Ferdinand Barbosu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonard Petrean in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorel Dichiseanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florin Smarandache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Red Team getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Laurențiu Panaitoiu hit a great ball. Ferdinand Barbosu took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dorel Dichiseanu. Dorel Dichiseanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Enache in the 96th minute of play forced Motaenii's goalkeeper Rafael Márquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Motaenii walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
