If Ferdinand Barbosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavian Armeanca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pompiliu Petrean in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Valentin Luțu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Márquez was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Octav Dijmărescu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Sebastian Rednic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Márquez having to interfere. Motaenii's Rafael Márquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Luțu in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Joita UFC's goalkeeper Octavian Armeanca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinand Barbosu. After 25 played minutes Joita UFC got a freekick which was hit by Marian Bondrea. In the 25th minute of the match Denis Corcoveanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavian Armeanca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafael Márquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Beșleaga in the 27th minute of play. Octavian Armeanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Levința, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Petrean in the 34th minute of play forced Joita UFC's goalkeeper Octavian Armeanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Sebastian Rednic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pompiliu Petrean blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Armeanca having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Rednic in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Márquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joita UFC's Octavian Armeanca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Joita UFC from getting a goal against them. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonard Petrean to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Luțu couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Ciolac got free with Rafael Márquez in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Motaenii booed when Joita UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joita UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Petrean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Marcel Ciolac came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Joita UFC fans jumped to their feet. In the 65th minute, Valentin Luțu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute Ferdinand Barbosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Armeanca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Motaenii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 90th minute, Ferdinand Barbosu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavian Armeanca was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Motaenii fans cheered their team off the field, for while Joita UFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
