Gelu Adam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrille Huynh in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Ciragi FC's Cyrille Huynh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gelu Adam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, FC Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Mărculescu to maneuver through the defense. If Leontin Bungeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cyrille Huynh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cyrille Huynh came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Ciragi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyrille Huynh couldn't finish the play. If Cyrille Huynh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Rapid getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ciprian Novac hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ştefan Gurlui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciragi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ştefan Gurlui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gelu Adam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Cyrille Huynh made the kick off in the second half. Ioan Mărculescu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 58thth minute of the game Cyrille Huynh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Rapid's Gelu Adam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dinu Ciutacu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cyrille Huynh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Mihăileanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Ciutacu in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Dinu Ciutacu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rapid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Ciutacu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciragi FC's Cyrille Huynh got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cyrille Huynh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciragi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cyrille Huynh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gelu Adam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ciragi FC booed when FC Rapid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Stafie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 minutes, Iosif Balc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rapid and the Ciragi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ciragi FC booed when FC Rapid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Balc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Iancu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gelu Adam. FC Rapid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gelu Adam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyrille Huynh in the 96th minute of the match. Ciragi FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
