Fabian Şantău's late challenge caught a Tazlaul FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Şantău helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Academy Football Club's Fabian Şantău got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Negulici in the 6th minute of play forced Academy Football Club's goalkeeper Valentin Udrişte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tazlaul FC booed when Academy Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Voiculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Iustinian Negulici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Udrişte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Udrişte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustinian Negulici, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Valentin Udrişte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Negulici in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Academy Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Iustinian Negulici came free, but Valentin Udrişte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Academy Football Club booed when Tazlaul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Dinculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Tazlaul FC's Ilie Costandache got control of the ball when Albert Romaşcanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iustinian Negulici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Valentin Udrişte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If George Dinculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academy Football Club's Ilie Voiculescu pulled a muscle in his back after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Valentin Udrişte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Negulici in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Academy Football Club's zone, Marian Pătran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Udrişte came out of the goal and Marian Pătran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iustinian Negulici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moise Damian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihăiţă Văduva to make the kick off. Valentin Udrişte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Negulici in the 52nd minute of the match. If Mihăiţă Văduva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilie Costandache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Văduva in the 70th minute of play. Iustinian Negulici struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Valentin Udrişte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tazlaul FC. Ilie Costandache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Văduva in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Iustinian Negulici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tazlaul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustinian Negulici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Academy Football Club's Ciprian Ţipirig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilie Costandache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. George Dinculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
