Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Birceii FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristide Bărboianu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Steaua Lehliu's Aristide Bărboianu to fire away a dangerous shot which Mircea Macavei despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aristide Bărboianu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mircea Macavei. Birceii FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Horea Angelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. Gavril Sichitiu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. FC Steaua Lehliu were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
