Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nistor Ciociu kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berbesu's zone, Nistor Ciociu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ştefan Răzvan came out of the goal and Nistor Ciociu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cezar Firoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Răduța having to interfere. FC LEII's Sever Răduța played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Spârlea in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Ciociu in the 12th minute of play forced Berbesu's goalkeeper Ştefan Răzvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Chifu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Ciociu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Berbesu's Ştefan Răzvan got control of the ball when Emanuel Chifu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Nistor Ciociu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berbesu's Ştefan Răzvan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sever Răduța showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Spârlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ştefan Răzvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Ciociu in the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Emanuel Chifu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LEII's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Chifu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ştefan Răzvan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nistor Ciociu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ştefan Răzvan having to interfere. The supporters of FC LEII booed when Berbesu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Ticulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Gheorghe Stroe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC LEII getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emanuel Chifu hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cezar Firoiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Chifu during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Chifu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Berbesu's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Ciociu came free, but Ştefan Răzvan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Ciociu in the 60th minute of play forced Berbesu's goalkeeper Ştefan Răzvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezar Firoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sever Răduța tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Nistor Ciociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ştefan Răzvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Berbesu's Albert Bociort got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 67 played minutes Berbesu got a freekick which was hit by Albert Bociort. Eduard Spârlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Răduța having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Eduard Spârlea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sever Răduța was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ştefan Răzvan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Chifu in the 80th minute of play. If Emanuel Chifu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Berbesu defense, Nistor Ciociu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ştefan Răzvan. The Berbesu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ştefan Răzvan should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute, Nistor Ciociu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC LEII were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
