With an all-out effort, Academy Football Club's Ciprian Geamănu threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Petre Homescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 12 minutes, Iordache Hojbota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Äç.Jökërül 89 and the Academy Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Äç.Jökërül 89 getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Iordache Hojbota hit a great ball. If Luca Curuțiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horia Burdea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Udrişte having to make a save. Horia Burdea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentin Udrişte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Curuțiu in the 43rd minute of the match. The wind increased when Petre Homescu made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Äç.Jökërül 89's Luca Curuțiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valentin Udrişte. That made the score 0-1 after 58 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Academy Football Club's zone, Horia Burdea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Udrişte came out of the goal and Horia Burdea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Academy Football Club's goalkeeper Valentin Udrişte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horia Burdea. 68 minutes into the match, Horia Burdea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Udrişte. Academy Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horia Burdea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mihăiţă Văduva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ciprian Geamănu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Äç.Jökërül 89's Iordache Hojbota got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Iordache Hojbota off the ground. In the 83rd match minute, Äç.Jökërül 89 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Hojbota to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Äç.Jökërül 89 got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Grecea. Ciprian Geamănu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Văduva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mihăiţă Văduva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Anton hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Academy Football Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Äç.Jökërül 89's performance. The match ended with a win for Äç.Jökërül 89.
