Spectators: 7565 (Terracing: 5675, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Bastea's Irinel Șerbulescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristi Moculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bastea booed when Romanian Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Iovanovici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matei Surugiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Huțupan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matei Surugiu ran back to his position shaking his head. Victor Huțupan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Caranică in the 11th minute of the match. Ivan Lozovan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Lozovan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Petru Târcă. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Irinel Șerbulescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Romanian Patriots's Victor Huțupan. Victor Huțupan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the game, Mădălin Burnei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Romanian Patriots's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bastea the free kick. After 30 played minutes Romanian Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Burnei. Aurel Caranică's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Huțupan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Bastea's Irinel Șerbulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Cristi Moculescu made a precise shot to the right of Victor Huțupan. Romanian Patriots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Romanian Patriots's Victor Huțupan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Șerbulescu in the 42nd minute of play. Victor Huțupan came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bastea's Irinel Șerbulescu. But to his dismay, Irinel Șerbulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Matei Surugiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Victor Huțupan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Ivan Lozovan made the kick off in the second half. Aurel Macamete struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Victor Huțupan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bastea. Cristi Moculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Huțupan having to interfere. Bastea's Aurel Caranică got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurel Caranică got free with Victor Huțupan in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Irinel Șerbulescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Huțupan. Romanian Patriots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irinel Șerbulescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. When Cristi Moculescu came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Bastea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristi Moculescu couldn't finish the play. Emilian Buhăescu kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Aurel Macamete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bastea's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Macamete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Huțupan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romanian Patriots's Victor Huțupan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Surugiu in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Romanian Patriots's zone, Aurel Caranică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Huțupan came out of the goal and Aurel Caranică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurel Macamete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Huțupan having to interfere. Irinel Șerbulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Huțupan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Cristi Moculescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Romanian Patriots fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bastea were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
