Spectators: 7584 (Terracing: 5689, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) 9 minutes into the match, Bastea's goalkeeper Petru Târcă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Chifu. Petru Târcă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Ciociu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petru Târcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Ciociu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to Bastea getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eric Zeciu hit a great ball. FC LEII's Aurel Popârcea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bastea. In the 21st match minute, FC LEII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Popârcea to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC LEII's zone, Irinel Șerbulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Răduța came out of the goal and Irinel Șerbulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bastea were furious when Luca Bobailă was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 25 minutes into the game, one of Bastea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aurel Popârcea shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Aurel Caranică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebiu Scaeru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aurel Macamete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petru Târcă didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matei Surugiu made a kick off. Bastea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Irinel Șerbulescu in the 54th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Eusebiu Scaeru got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 55 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Cezar Vrabie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC LEII fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Petru Târcă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Chifu in the 66th minute of the match. Emanuel Chifu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petru Târcă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Nistor Ciociu scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petru Târcă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Bastea getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Irinel Șerbulescu hit a great ball. Aurel Popârcea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Petru Târcă. Bastea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81st minute, Nistor Ciociu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petru Târcă was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 85th minute, Nistor Ciociu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Bastea's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Ciociu came free, but Petru Târcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC LEII were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bastea for a fine match.
