The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doru Răchitan got free with Vintilă Boștină in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doru Răchitan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Vintilă Boștină made a huge save. Doru Răchitans short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Vintilă Boștină to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the game, Isac Cumpanașu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ehresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romanian Patriots the free kick. Ehresti's Vintilă Boștină played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Lozovan in the 23rd minute of play. Vintilă Boștină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Iovanovici in the 24th minute of play. Victor Huțupan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciprian Cioculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Romanian Patriots's zone, Ciprian Cioculescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Huțupan came out of the goal and Ciprian Cioculescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Romanian Patriots booed when Ehresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugurel Ciorogaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 33 minutes on the clock, Basarab Negrilă commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ehresti! Vintilă Boștină had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Cornel Gârneț's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball After a long run with the ball, Cornel Gârneț did a trick in the 36th minute in front of Ehresti's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mugurel Mitică made a kick off. Isac Cumpanașu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Huțupan having to interfere. Isac Cumpanașu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Victor Huțupan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ehresti. After a rather tough play, Romanian Patriots's Alin Zeciu got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ehresti's Mugurel Mitică got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Romanian Patriots were victorious despite being under pressure from Ehresti for much of the match.
