Valentin Udrişte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 16 minutes of play, Bastea's Aurel Caranică made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Udrişte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Academy Football Club's Valentin Udrişte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Șerbulescu in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Aurel Caranică managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bastea's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Caranică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Udrişte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurel Caranică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Valentin Udrişte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aurel Caranică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilian Isăcescu during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 53 minutes into the match, Bastea's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Homescu came free, but Petru Târcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matei Surugiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Udrişte having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Ciprian Ţipirig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bastea's Petru Târcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Homescu in the 60th minute of play. Valentin Udrişte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Surugiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Aurel Caranică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Academy Football Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Matei Surugiu 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilie Voiculescu during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute of the match, Irinel Șerbulescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valentin Udrişte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bastea's Irinel Șerbulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristi Moculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Petre Homescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
