When Claudiu Josan fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birceii FC's protests and gave Claudiu Josan a yellow card for diving instead. 39 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Romanian Patriots's Ivan Lozovan fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Claudiu Josan hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Gârneț in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Huțupan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olimpiu Vasiloiu during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Birceii FC booed when Romanian Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Vasiloiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Doru Răchitan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mircea Macavei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Victor Huțupan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valer Gârneț in the 58th minute. Mircea Macavei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Răchitan in the 65th minute of play. If Valer Gârneț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavril Sichitiu got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Birceii FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gavril Sichitiu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Birceii FC's Claudiu Josan got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes in the game, Ivan Lozovan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Birceii FC's Mugur Paraschiv broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 79th minute, Valer Gârneț got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Valer Gârneț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birceii FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valer Gârneț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valer Gârneț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birceii FC's Mircea Macavei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Răchitan in the 91st minute of play. Doru Răchitan struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Mircea Macavei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romanian Patriots. Romanian Patriots's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
