Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iustinian Negulici started the match with the kick off. Anton Aliuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC LEII's Sever Răduța got control of the ball when Anton Aliuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Tazlaul FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Moise Damian hit a great ball. Nistor Ciociu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilie Costandache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, FC LEII's Sever Răduța got control of the ball when Anton Aliuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iustinian Negulici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sever Răduța tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sever Răduța came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Tazlaul FC's Anton Aliuta. But to his dismay, Anton Aliuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Tazlaul FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Marian Pătran hit a great ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Emanuel Chifu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LEII's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Chifu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tazlaul FC's Iustinian Negulici suffered a concussion in the 43rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 43 minutes, Gică Iurașcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC LEII and the Tazlaul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, FC LEII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gică Iurașcu to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Tonegaru was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 46th minute of the match, Anton Aliuta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sever Răduța was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nistor Ciociu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilie Costandache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Nistor Ciociu made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, George Dinculescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Chifu got free with Ilie Costandache in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC LEII booed when Tazlaul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Aliuta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Nistor Ciociu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ilie Costandache to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Albert Văcaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tazlaul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Văcaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Răduța breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Emanuel Chifu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nistor Ciociu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Anton Aliuta came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Tazlaul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Aliuta couldn't finish the play. Anton Aliuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Răduța having to interfere.
