After 22 played minutes, FC Steaua Lehliu's Tudor Hălmăgeanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ştefan Răzvan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Steaua Lehliu reached it. If Marcu Coidum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horea Angelescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcu Coidum was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 47 minutes into the match, Berbesu's goalkeeper Ştefan Răzvan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horea Angelescu. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cezar Firoiu to strike the kick off in the second half. When Marcu Coidum came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the FC Steaua Lehliu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcu Coidum couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Coidum in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ştefan Răzvan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcu Coidum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Tudor Hălmăgeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Steaua Lehliu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berbesu the free kick. In the 64th match minute, FC Steaua Lehliu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Hălmăgeanu to maneuver through the defense. Ştefan Răzvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Angelescu in the 86th minute of the match. Ştefan Răzvan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Coidum in the 90th minute of play. Berbesu were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Steaua Lehliu's much stronger midfield.
