Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Horia Maftei made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Irinel Șerbulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bastea's supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Șerbulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mircea Macavei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mircea Macavei came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Bastea's Aurel Caranică. But to his dismay, Aurel Caranică quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mircea Macavei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Caranică in the 11th minute. Birceii FC's Claudiu Josan got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavril Sichitiu during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Gavril Sichitiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes of play Birceii FC's Gavril Sichitiu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Valer Gârneț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Petru Târcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matei Surugiu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Bastea's Eric Zeciu got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Valer Gârneț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Bastea's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Gârneț came free, but Petru Târcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Gârneț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Petru Târcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bastea's goalkeeper Petru Târcă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Matei Surugiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mircea Macavei was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurel Caranică showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. Mircea Macavei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Surugiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Irinel Șerbulescu to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Birceii FC got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Scripcaru. 56 minutes into the match, Aurel Caranică had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mircea Macavei. Birceii FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurel Caranică was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Matei Surugiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mircea Macavei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matei Surugiu ran back to his position shaking his head. Irinel Șerbulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Mircea Macavei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iordache Scripcaru kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Bastea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Caranică to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Matei Surugiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Birceii FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Horia Maftei hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Matei Surugiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Birceii FC's Mircea Macavei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Șerbulescu in the 83rd minute of play. When Bastea's Irinel Șerbulescu in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birceii FC's goalie prevented a goal. Matei Surugiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Macavei having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Birceii FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Macamete came free, but Mircea Macavei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aurel Caranică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
