Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Lupa din Ghencea's Traian Curuțiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Fabian Gheban came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Galactic Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Gheban couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Lupa din Ghencea's Marian Moșanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Ţirpe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aron Coposu took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octav Ciurea. Octav Ciurea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Fabian Gheban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galactic Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Gheban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octav Ciurea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iordache Cerchez hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After the first half Galactic Iasi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rareș Drăgănoiu made the kick off in the second half. If Marian Moșanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Galactic Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lupa din Ghencea the free kick. Iustin Ilarie hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Bacalbașa during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Galactic Iasi played a much better game than Lupa din Ghencea and deserved their victory. The Lupa din Ghencea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
