Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toader Căplescu kicked off to start the match. Lucian Ilie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toader Băncilă went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Moise Brăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Ilie having to interfere. In the 11th minute Toader Băncilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Ilie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Valentin Baciu managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Bala's Ionuț Opriș fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 15th minute, but Valentin Baciu got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving F.C Târgoviște hanging dry this time. Bogdan Bourceanu's late challenge caught a F.C Târgoviște's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bogdan Bourceanu helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Bala got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Bourceanu. Lucian Ilie came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C Târgoviște's Toader Căplescu. But to his dismay, Toader Căplescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bogdan Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Ilie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Căplescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Mihai Vieru came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Bala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihai Vieru couldn't finish the play. Ionuț Opriș took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Baciu. Valentin Baciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 38th minute Toader Băncilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Ilie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, F.C Târgoviște was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicodim Brânzeu to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Baciu was a little too slow when Bogdan Bourceanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Târgoviște's zone, Ionuț Opriș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Baciu came out of the goal and Ionuț Opriș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
Valentin Baciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Opriș in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Bala getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Edgar Baba hit a great ball. With a little luck, Bala's Lucian Ilie got control of the ball when Eric Elisei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iurie Blejan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Valentin Baciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bala. In the 65th minute, F.C Târgoviște's Iurie Băbescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 68th minute, Edgar Baba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucian Ilie was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Toader Căplescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toader Căplescu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Lucian Ilie made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Eric Elisei sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ionuț Opriș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bala's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionuț Opriș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Baciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute Iurie Băbescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Ilie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Gheorghe Brezoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C Târgoviște's Toader Căplescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucian Ilie. That made the score 2-5 after 85 minutes of play. In the 89th minute, one of F.C Târgoviște:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C Târgoviște. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Bala. Costică Cantemir stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Valentin Baciu. 3-5. The F.C Târgoviște supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C Târgoviște would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
