Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ciucani's Filip Cernea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Filip Cernea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandu Codrea was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Andrei Panaiteanus short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Sandu Codrea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Filip Cernea placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 10th minute of the match, Călin Dedu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandu Codrea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 11th minute, Adrian Chitoran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Matei Floruțiu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ciucani's Mihnea Braru. Mihnea Braru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andrei Panaiteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Brădean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ciucani booed when Red Bull CLUJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Galușcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Panaiteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandu Codrea having to interfere. Sandu Codrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Călin Dedu in the 35th minute of the match. If Martin Brădean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduard Harnagea to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Dedu in the 52nd minute of play forced Red Bull CLUJ's goalkeeper Sandu Codrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Eduard Harnagea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Braru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matei Floruțiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mihnea Braru firmly grabbed it by the left post. Martin Brădean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filip Cernea might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandu Codrea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Ciucani fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Ciucani's Andrei Panaiteanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mihnea Braru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Chitoran in the 64th minute of the match. Adrian Chitoran hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matei Floruțiu got free with Mihnea Braru in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull CLUJ's zone, Martin Brădean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandu Codrea came out of the goal and Martin Brădean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Andrei Panaiteanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Bull CLUJ's Sandu Codrea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Red Bull CLUJ's Sandu Codrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Panaiteanu in the 85th minute of play. When Andrei Panaiteanu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 87 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sandu Codrea was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrei Panaiteanu in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Codrea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Filip Cernea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull CLUJ's zone, Andrei Panaiteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandu Codrea came out of the goal and Andrei Panaiteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Red Bull CLUJ's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Panaiteanu came free, but Sandu Codrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciucani walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
