Spectators: 7605 (Terracing: 5705, Seating: 1749, VIP seats: 151) Călin Dedu scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pompiliu Cernat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Ciucani fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Ciucani's Filip Cernea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Andrei Panaiteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pompiliu Cernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13th play minutes Andrei Panaiteanu shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Pompiliu Cernat and just under the crossbar into goal. If Bogdan Dascălu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moise Tudose charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Tudose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ciucani getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Moise Tudose hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ciucani's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Dascălu came free, but Mihnea Braru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Panaiteanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pompiliu Cernat having to make a save. In the 34th minute Andrei Panaiteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Cernat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pompiliu Cernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Cernea in the 35th minute of play. Pompiliu Cernat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Călin Dedu went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Pompiliu Cernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Cernea in the 44th minute of the match. Martin Brădean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Cernat having to interfere. Andrei Panaiteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Pompiliu Cernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Sandu Fecioru was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Sandu Fecioru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Sepsi-SIC's Ion Băsescu in action when he in the 55th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a defensive mix-up in Sepsi-SIC's zone, Călin Dedu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pompiliu Cernat came out of the goal and Călin Dedu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Unchiaşu during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marin Unchiaşu kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Andrei Panaiteanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Pompiliu Cernat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Andrei Panaiteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciucani's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Panaiteanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pompiliu Cernat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Adrian Harnagea fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sepsi-SIC's protests and gave Adrian Harnagea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Sepsi-SIC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Harnagea to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Panaiteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pompiliu Cernat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Călin Dedu in the 70th minute. When Andrei Panaiteanu came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ciucani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Panaiteanu couldn't finish the play. Vali Mutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ciucani's Călin Dedu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Călin Dedu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciucani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 94th minute, Moise Tudose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Ciucani could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sepsi-SIC throughout the match.
