Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Filip Cernea made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Ciucani getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Andrei Panaiteanu hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Călin Dedu in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebiu Nisipeanu saved FC CFR Cluj from getting behind. 13 minutes into the game, Călin Dedu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eusebiu Nisipeanu. Călin Dedu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, FC CFR Cluj's goalkeeper Eusebiu Nisipeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Brădean. In the 18th minute Ciucani were awarded a corner. Filip Cernea went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ciucani's Martin Brădean getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Eusebiu Nisipeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Cernea in the 24th minute of play. If Andrei Panaiteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Ciucani's Călin Dedu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusebiu Nisipeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Filip Cernea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Nisipeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Brădean scored 3-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusebiu Nisipeanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filip Cernea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Filip Cernea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciucani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Călin Dedu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Andrei Panaiteanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciucani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Codruț Atanasiu to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Andrei Panaiteanu put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eusebiu Nisipeanu. Andrei Panaiteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Nisipeanu having to interfere. Cristi Oneț hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Călin Dedu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eusebiu Nisipeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Andrei Panaiteanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebiu Nisipeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. 73 minutes into the match, FC CFR Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Cernea came free, but Eusebiu Nisipeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Panaiteanu in the 74th minute of play forced FC CFR Cluj's goalkeeper Eusebiu Nisipeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Martin Brădean fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciucani's protests and gave Martin Brădean a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Ciucani got a freekick which was hit by Martin Brădean. In the 81st minute, Filip Cernea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciucani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Andrei Panaiteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sorin Boeru hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The audience cheered when Viorel Panait's long shot passed Mihnea Braru's right side. It was 8-1, 95 minutes into the match. Ciucani's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
