Dan Zgabei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Bourceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Aurelian Bourceanu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ticitaca sepsi osk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Bourceanu couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Saşca hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Universitatea Alexandria's zone, Aurelian Bourceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Zgabei came out of the goal and Aurelian Bourceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Universitatea Alexandria's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Bourceanu came free, but Dan Zgabei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Aurelian Bourceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ticitaca sepsi osk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Bourceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelian Bourceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihăiţă Bitănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Zgabei was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Aurelian Bourceanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aurelian Bourceanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. A collision led to Universitatea Alexandria getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gabriel Saşca hit a great ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Mihăiţă Bitănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dan Zgabei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelian Bourceanu's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Aurelian Bourceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Zgabei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Universitatea Alexandria's Dan Zgabei got control of the ball when Mihăiţă Bitănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihăiţă Bitănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Zgabei having to interfere. Dan Zgabei made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Mihăiţă Bitănescu sent off a good shot on target.
