An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Pacuraru in the 7th minute of play forced Rapid Constanta's goalkeeper Codrin Gherghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapid Constanta's Iordache Nediu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iordache Nediu made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viorel Dancu in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Codrin Gherghe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 58 minutes, Iordache Nediu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Constanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iordache Nediu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When FC Micsunia's Viorel Dancu in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Codrin Gherghe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viorel Dancu went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the match, FC Micsunia's goalkeeper Dan Jupân had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Costea. Codrin Gherghe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viorel Dancu went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Gabriel Pacuraru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Micsunia had played much better football throughout.
