Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dan Rogoz made the kick off and thus started the match. Mihail Balint hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute of the match Horia Basarabescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandu Bîlbă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sandu Bîlbă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Nediu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Flavius Mihoc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bogdan Costea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Rapid Constanta got a freekick which was hit by David Rizescu. In the 17th minute Dan Rogoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Gherghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rapid Constanta getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Stelian Herescu hit a great ball. Cacova's Sandu Bîlbă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Costea in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Rapid Constanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelian Herescu to maneuver through the defense. Dan Rogoz got in the 28th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Codrin Gherghe handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Sandu Bîlbă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Costea in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Flavius Mihoc notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rapid Constanta's Codrin Gherghe. Codrin Gherghe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Constanta's zone, Flavius Mihoc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codrin Gherghe came out of the goal and Flavius Mihoc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iordache Nediu made a kick off. Dan Rogoz struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Codrin Gherghe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacova. Stelian Herescu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Flavius Mihoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Codrin Gherghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Flavius Mihoc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavius Mihoc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavius Mihoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Gherghe having to interfere. Codrin Gherghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Rogoz in the 72nd minute of play. Iordache Nediu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petrică Andronescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cacova! When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Rapid Constanta's Horia Basarabescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sandu Bîlbă. Flavius Mihoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cacova's Cazimir Borăscu in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rapid Constanta's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Cazimir Borăscu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacova's supporters rose to their feet, but Cazimir Borăscu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Gherghe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dan Rogoz fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacova's protests and gave Dan Rogoz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cacova's Dan Rogoz got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cacova players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
