Spectators: 7478 (Terracing: 5610, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's Costin Ostoici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Petrescu in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's Codrin Dersidan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costel Giosu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to AS Dealurile getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ciprian Stănciulescu hit a great ball. Adam Brad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's zone, Adam Brad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Ostoici came out of the goal and Adam Brad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costel Giosu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Dersidan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, AS Dealurile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Barbălată to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's Nichifor Perșa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 30 played minutes Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Dragotescu. Vasile Codreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Giosu having to interfere. Gigi Buzescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Costel Giosu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in AS Dealurile's zone, Vasile Codreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costel Giosu came out of the goal and Vasile Codreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's Codrin Dersidan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Codrin Dersidan scored 1-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Costel Giosu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's Codrin Dersidan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costel Giosu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute Codrin Dersidan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costel Giosu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costel Giosu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Dersidan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 88 minutes into the match, AS Dealurile's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Dersidan came free, but Costel Giosu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mircea Barbălată fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 96 minutes into the game, AS Dealurile's Adam Brad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costin Ostoici made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
