Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eusebiu Rebengiuc took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sever Văleanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Marin Hârșu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marin Hârșu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Jianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marin Hârșu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Jianu in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Cristian Jianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 played minutes Sumuleu got a freekick which was hit by Albert Buteanu. Sever Văleanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Irinel Moscu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sumuleu's zone, Cristian Jianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marin Hârșu came out of the goal and Cristian Jianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mădălin Slătineanu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Rareș Harnagea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Rebengiuc in the 27th minute of play. Pipis Paltakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Rareș Harnagea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 31st match minute, FC Rovers 72 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Hreapcă to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Jianu in the 34th minute of play forced Sumuleu's goalkeeper Marin Hârșu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iosif Aluneanu charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosif Aluneanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sumuleu getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Iosif Aluneanu hit a great ball. Marin Hârșu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Văleanu in the 40th minute of the match. Marin Hârșu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Hreapcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sumuleu's Eusebiu Rebengiuc got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Jianu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, FC Rovers 72's Mădălin Slătineanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marin Hârșu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Sumuleu's Marin Hârșu got control of the ball when Sever Văleanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Eugenio Lauro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumuleu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Rovers 72 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sumuleu's Eugenio Lauro got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to FC Rovers 72 getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sever Văleanu hit a great ball. Mădălin Văleanu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes, Eusebiu Nicolcioiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rovers 72 and the Sumuleu players grew even worse after the yellow card. 82 minutes into the game, one of FC Rovers 72:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sever Văleanu got free with Marin Hârșu in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Mircea Hreapcă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marin Hârșu. That made the score 1-3 in the 92 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Rovers 72 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
