Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Codrin Dersidan got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova! When Gigi Buzescu fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's protests and gave Gigi Buzescu a yellow card for diving instead. Tiberiu Paraschivescu, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 20th minute, Rareș Iosub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's goalkeeper Costin Ostoici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rareș Iosub. 24 minutes into the match, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Antipa came free, but Costin Ostoici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Dersidan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's zone, Ionică Antipa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Ostoici came out of the goal and Ionică Antipa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Ionică Antipa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuzaplac FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionică Antipa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Ionică Antipa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Berechet to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Rareș Iosub shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Ostoici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Antipa struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Costin Ostoici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuzaplac FC. Gigi Buzescu got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gigi Buzescu hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Codrin Dersidan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costin Ostoici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Antipa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Rareș Iosub shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Ostoici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Iosub came free, but Costin Ostoici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rareș Iosub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costin Ostoici stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rareș Iosub's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Cuzaplac FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
