Iurie Cubleșan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Rovers 72's Cristian Jianu managed to work through Tarsa's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristian Jianu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Sever Văleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Pătrășconiu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cristian Jianu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Pătrășconiu was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Tarsa's Cazimir Gurlui got a free kick in the 21st minute. Sever Văleanu scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damian Pătrășconiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cristian Jianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sever Văleanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Damian Pătrășconiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iurie Cubleșan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mădălin Văleanu during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Rovers 72 getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mădălin Văleanu hit a great ball. Tarsa were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after FC Rovers 72's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernest Paulică took the corner. Tarsa's Ernest Paulică was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rareș Harnagea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Damian Pătrășconiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Văleanu in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Cristian Jianu notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tarsa's Damian Pătrășconiu. Damian Pătrășconiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute Sever Văleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Pătrășconiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iurie Cubleșan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Rareș Harnagea when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Jianu made a kick off. Tarsa's Damian Pătrășconiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Jianu in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Jianu in the 59th minute of play forced Tarsa's goalkeeper Damian Pătrășconiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Rovers 72 booed when Tarsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Plopșor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tarsa's zone, Sever Văleanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Pătrășconiu came out of the goal and Sever Văleanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Jianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Tarsa's Corneliu Creangă got a free kick in the 71st minute. Damian Pătrășconiu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. In the 90th minute, Mădălin Slătineanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Jianu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damian Pătrășconiu having to make a save. Iurie Cubleșan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rareș Harnagea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The supporters of Tarsa booed when FC Rovers 72 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Hreapcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Rovers 72 played a much better game than Tarsa and deserved their victory. The Tarsa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
