Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Constantin Micu made the kick off and thus started the match. If Constantin Micu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Bocaneț came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Hurjena's Romeo Moți. But to his dismay, Romeo Moți quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 11 minutes into the game, Constantin Micu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adrian Bocaneț. Constantin Micu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Dan Ştoia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Pâslaru having to interfere. Denis Pavalescu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Constantin Micu came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Hurjena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantin Micu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Hurjena getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Romeo Moți hit a great ball. Narcis Chițu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Marian Griguță sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SSC Steaua's Adrian Bocaneț didn't even have to move. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute of the game, Octavian Muja landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Baran during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dan Baran hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Viorel Pâslaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Ştoia in the 58th minute. Mihail Tulbure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dan Ştoia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viorel Pâslaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Viorel Pâslaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihail Tulbure's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute, Albert Gherase ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrian Bocaneț was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Albert Gherase struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Adrian Bocaneț didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurjena. After a rather tough play, SSC Steaua's Niculae Ciulei got a free kick in the 86th minute. Hurjena were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SSC Steaua for a fine match.
