Spectators: 6871 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iustinian Datcu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Bogoslovesti AC's Liviu Moțoc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgil Huidu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Bogoslovesti AC booed when Santimbru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustinian Datcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Cosmin Gogu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bogoslovesti AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santimbru FC the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Iustinian Datcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigi Romoşan. That made the score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narcis Dăianu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Narcis Dăianu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bogoslovesti AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Narcis Dăianu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Huidu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Narcis Dăianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Virgil Huidu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Oneț kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Narcis Dăianu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bogoslovesti AC's Alex Grozăvescu got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Cazimir Otopeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Romoşan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Bogoslovesti AC's goal looked a bit too open when Iustinian Datcu came free, but Gigi Romoşan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Cosmin Gogu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gică Zgârcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Santimbru FC's zone, Liviu Moțoc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgil Huidu came out of the goal and Liviu Moțoc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bogoslovesti AC's Narcis Dăianu got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gigi Romoşan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Popete in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santimbru FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bogoslovesti AC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
