Dumitru Gârneață recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Bunescu hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ametistul booed when Steluta Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Gârneață didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicodim Aalexoaiei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Ortacu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ametistul's Nicodim Aalexoaiei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Gârneață in the 14th minute of play. Dumitru Gârneață sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Iacob Ortacu made a precise shot to the right of Nicodim Aalexoaiei. Ametistul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dumitru Gârneață received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nicodim Aalexoaiei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iacob Ortacu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Iacob Ortacu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicodim Aalexoaiei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 37th minute, Iacob Ortacu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steluta Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Nițoi during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ametistul getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mircea Nițoi hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Iacob Ortacu made a precise shot to the right of Nicodim Aalexoaiei. Ametistul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iacob Ortacu made a kick off. Ametistul's Nicodim Aalexoaiei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Ametistul from getting a goal against them. Steluta Juniors were furious when Iurie Minea was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Ametistul. Robert Druga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nistor Spoială. 1-4. Dorel Oravițan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Nicodim Aalexoaiei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Dorel Oravițan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nicodim Aalexoaiei, passed just outside the right post. Iacob Ortacu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodim Aalexoaiei having to interfere. Dorel Oravițan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Steluta Juniors's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Oravițan in the 72nd minute of play forced Ametistul's goalkeeper Nicodim Aalexoaiei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Oravițan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Ioanițiu in the 77th minute of play forced Steluta Juniors's goalkeeper Nistor Spoială to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Oravițan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ametistul's Nicodim Aalexoaiei got control of the ball when Dumitru Gârneață tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorel Oravițan struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Nicodim Aalexoaiei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steluta Juniors. After a rather tough play, Steluta Juniors's Iacob Ortacu got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Iacob Ortacu fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steluta Juniors's protests and gave Iacob Ortacu a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Ioanițiu in the 92nd minute of play forced Steluta Juniors's goalkeeper Nistor Spoială to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Oravițan got in the 94th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Nicodim Aalexoaiei handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Dorel Oravițan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 99 minutes into the match, Ametistul's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Oravițan came free, but Nicodim Aalexoaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steluta Juniors played a much better game than Ametistul and deserved their victory. The Ametistul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
