The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the game, Eric Bunescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ametistul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U Craiova David TM 2013 the free kick. Eric Bunescu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Mihail Urdoi, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eric Bunescu was shown his second yellow card after 15 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 16th match minute, Ametistul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Bunescu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gigel Cornoiu during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ametistul's Gigel Cornoiu got a free kick in the 18th minute. Aurel Chivu scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicodim Aalexoaiei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ametistul's goalkeeper Nicodim Aalexoaiei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in U Craiova David TM 2013's zone, Cazimir Ioanițiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octav Movileanu came out of the goal and Cazimir Ioanițiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cazimir Ioanițiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Ioanițiu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Octav Movileanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ametistul. Nicodim Aalexoaiei made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aurel Chivu sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ametistul's zone, Aurel Chivu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodim Aalexoaiei came out of the goal and Aurel Chivu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Cazimir Ioanițiu made the kick off in the second half. Luca Pantelimon charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Pantelimon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U Craiova David TM 2013 getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Luca Pantelimon hit a great ball. When Cazimir Ioanițiu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ametistul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cazimir Ioanițiu couldn't finish the play. Robert Druga charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Druga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, one of Ametistul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ametistul. Ametistul:s Nicodim Aalexoaiei showed great skill when he stopped Mihail Urdoi:s penalty. Nistor Boteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cazimir Ioanițiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, U Craiova David TM 2013 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Nicolae to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Aurel Chivu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Aalexoaiei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Ametistul's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Boteanu came free, but Nicodim Aalexoaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
