Spectators: 6871 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gigel Cornoiu got the match started through his kick off. If Gigel Cornoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santimbru FC's Virgil Huidu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Cornoiu in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Santimbru FC got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Popete. When Gigel Cornoiu came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ametistul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigel Cornoiu couldn't finish the play. If Cazimir Ioanițiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Gigel Cornoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ametistul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Cornoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigel Cornoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cazimir Otopeanu's late challenge caught a Ametistul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cazimir Otopeanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Santimbru FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Otopeanu to maneuver through the defense. Cazimir Ioanițiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Druga, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Santimbru FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nistor Popete hit a great ball. Cazimir Otopeanu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Virgil Huidu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Ioanițiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santimbru FC's Emanuel Ţăranu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicodim Aalexoaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Datcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustinian Datcu was the one to do the kick off. When Mircea Nițoi fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ametistul's protests and gave Mircea Nițoi a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ametistul! Nicodim Aalexoaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Ţăranu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Huidu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Cornoiu in the 70th minute of the match. Virgil Huidu came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Ametistul's Cazimir Ioanițiu. But to his dismay, Cazimir Ioanițiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Robert Druga kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Santimbru FC's Iustinian Datcu got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iustinian Datcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Horaţiu Spoială hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Ţăranu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nicodim Aalexoaiei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gigel Cornoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Virgil Huidu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cazimir Otopeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Cazimir Ioanițiu scored 1-2 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Virgil Huidu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Santimbru FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ametistul's performance. The match ended with a win for Ametistul.
