The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of AC Timisoara BTV booed when Santimbru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Tatulici didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Iustinian Datcu rounded AC Timisoara BTV's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Colin during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AC Timisoara BTV getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Leonard Colin hit a great ball. Iordache Vintilă got in the 41st minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Fabian Drumeș and thus it was 3-0. Virgil Huidu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Mardare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
