The supporters of Steluta Juniors booed when SSC Steaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Baran didn't get a good kick on the ball. SSC Steaua's Adrian Bocaneț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Gârneață in the 16th minute of play. Adrian Bocaneț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Gârneață, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurențiu Zglobiu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurențiu Zglobiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SSC Steaua getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Laurențiu Zglobiu hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Fabian Hârciog shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrian Bocaneț showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Narcis Chițu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dan Ştoia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihail Tulbure stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dan Ştoia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Spoială having to interfere. Nistor Spoială didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Ştoia went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Dan Ştoia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nistor Spoială tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nistor Spoială made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Tulbure in the 88th minute of play. Iacob Ortacu in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adrian Bocaneț, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 94 minutes into the match, Iacob Ortacu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Bocaneț. The SSC Steaua supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Steluta Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for Steluta Juniors.
