Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Teodor Huștea got the match started through his kick off. Dan Baran kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Ursicse got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Stoicea. Florin Cărtărescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Unciuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Teodor Huștea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Aurel Chivulescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Bocaneț was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narcis Chițu during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SSC Steaua getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Narcis Chițu hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes SSC Steaua got a freekick which was hit by Dan Baran. Adrian Bocaneț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Huștea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodor Huștea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Adrian Bocaneț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Ştoia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florin Cărtărescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ursicse's Ioan Mercescu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Dan Baran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Francisc Suşu made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Bocaneț. SSC Steaua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Teodor Huștea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Bocaneț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Dan Baran kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ursicse's Tudor Bota tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Adrian Bocaneț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Huștea in the 51st minute of the match. Tudor Bota kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, SSC Steaua's Flavius Unciuleanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Florin Cărtărescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Tulbure in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ursicse's goalkeeper Florin Cărtărescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Ursicse's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Tulbure came free, but Florin Cărtărescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihail Tulbure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Teodor Huștea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ursicse's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodor Huștea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Bocaneț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Ştoia struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Florin Cărtărescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSC Steaua. Mihail Tulbure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Florin Cărtărescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SSC Steaua's Dan Ştoia got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodor Huștea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrian Bocaneț having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, Ursicse's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Tulbure came free, but Florin Cărtărescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florin Cărtărescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Ştoia in the 86th minute. If Aurel Chivulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SSC Steaua's Mihail Tulbure got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisc Suşu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the match, Mihail Tulbure dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Florin Cărtărescu, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ursicse fans cheered their team off the field, for while SSC Steaua had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
